Terms of service

Last updated: 26 August 2026

caiscore.com supplies the CAI Score API. These terms govern the free tier. By calling the API or using a key issued here, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the API.

The version published at this address is the current one. We may change these terms; if we do, the date above moves. Continuing to call the API after a change means you accept the revised terms.

What you get

A free-tier key lets you call the API at up to 60 requests per minute. There is no uptime commitment, no support commitment, and no guarantee that the service, its contract, or its results will stay the same. This is a free service and you should build accordingly.

We may change or withdraw endpoints, and we may change the free tier's limits.

Your API key

A key is a shared secret, not a personal login. It identifies a bucket of quota, not a person.

Acceptable use

Do not:

The API describes outcomes. The data behind it is derived from third-party sources under their own licences, which is why bulk extraction is out of bounds even though individual results are yours to use. Those sources and their terms are listed on the attribution page.

The score is not advice

A score, a zone, and a suggestion are informational outputs of a model. They are not professional, legal, financial, medical, or employment advice.

A result must not be the sole basis for a decision affecting a person's employment, engagement, pay, or standing. The CAI score describes how a kind of work is done — not an individual's ability, performance, or value. Decisions about people need human judgement and context the API does not have.

You are responsible for what you do with a result, and for any decision you or your organisation make using one.

Liability and your rights

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right, guarantee, warranty, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where the Australian Consumer Law gives you a guarantee that cannot be excluded, that guarantee applies despite anything else on this page.

Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows: our total liability to you for any claim connected with the API is limited, at our option, to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data, or business interruption.

The API is supplied free of charge, without a fee and without an uptime commitment, and this limit reflects that.

Ending it

You can stop using the API at any time; just stop calling it.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms. We may also withdraw the free tier, or the service, with whatever notice is reasonable in the circumstances.

Privacy

What we collect and why is set out on the privacy page. It forms part of your agreement with us.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and caiscore.com submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State and the courts able to hear appeals from them.
